Waafa encourages Osbaldwick ‘ To Go Green for Groundwork’

Waafa Hajj-Qassim (5/6 MC) sent a letter to the Headteacher explaining how the earthquake on the Turkish/ Syrian border had affected members of her family and asked if the school could help to raise money and awareness of the disaster.

The whole school responded to Waafa’s plea and decided to have a fundraising day on Wednesday 29th March encouraging Osbaldwick staff and pupils to ‘Go Green for Groundwork’

Well Done Osbaldwick over £270 was raised for the Earthquake Appeal and congratulations to Waafa and her helpers!!
