Osbaldwick Owls

Osbaldwick Owls is a small friendly team dedicated to providing a welcoming atmosphere for children both before and after school for your child. We believe that every child is unique; in characteristics, interests, abilities and needs and therefore we aim to offer every child activities that they enjoy.

Based in the Hall at Osbaldwick Lane, we plan our sessions around the children, allowing them to follow their own interests and encouraging them to learn through play in a fun, stimulating way. Free from external pressures, staff are able to spend the sessions engaging in play with the children.  There is a walking bus between the 2 sites to ensure no children are excluded from accessing the facility.

Osbaldwick Owls offers an on-site Breakfast and After School Club for its families to extend the school day. Please find details about this wraparound childcare below, as well as information on how to book any sessions you may need.

Opening times and prices

Breakfast Club open from 7.45 – 8.45 and costs £3.75 per session

Afterschool Club open from 3.15 – 5.50 and costs £8.25 per session

Bookings and payments

We use an external provider to manage our bookings – Childcare Bookings for Schools. They provide an online booking system for our wraparound care and manage all of the associated admin.

Please note: Before making your first booking, you will firstly need to register an account. This process should take no longer than 5 minutes and requires that you provide details for:

• The account holder (you) and your child(ren)
• Two different emergency contacts
• A payment card (no payment will be taken, but a card will be required to make bookings)

Once you have registered an account, you will be able to start making bookings. To do so, simply https://osbaldwick.cbfs.uk/ and use the ‘Bookings’ dropdown menu at the top of the webpage to begin requesting your sessions.

The payment methods available are Card, Tax-Free Childcare or Childcare Vouchers.

Club Staff and communicating with club directly

If you would like to speak to the Wrap around care Manager Alex Leahy for anything please do not hesitate to contact her by email at: a.leahy@ebor.academy  or she will be at the school office from 2.15-3.15 each day.  You can also call into the club and speak to  any of the Wrap around care staff.  If it is during club hours you can contact them by phoning: 07983952737. 

What happens at club

The children will be encouraged to spend time outdoors playing group games or playing on the outdoor equipment. The hall will be set up with table top and floor activities. The children will be given a healthy snack at 4.15-4.30pm.

We have lots of facilities for free play;

• Access to the generous enclosed grassed field and a Mugger
• Football, basketball, rounder’s, skipping
• Den building & dressing-up

• Use of the large school hall
• A range of small and large toys suitable for children of different ages and abilities

• Arts and crafts Activities 
• Jigsaws & Board Games
• A quiet reading corner with bean bags and cushions
• Role play, Kitchen, shop, dolls & Barbie’s
• Lego, cars, trains, Animals & superheroes
• And imaginative staff!
