Welcome to Early Years! We are fortunate enough to be on our own site on The Leyes a short walk away from The Lane site (Y1 to Y6).
Our Early Years Unit caters for children from the age of 3 who are entitled to part time education, and 4 year olds who receive full time education. Both age ranges follow the Early Years Curriculum.
The Nursery teachers are Mrs Bramwell & Miss Hudson and the Reception teachers are Mrs Messruther and Miss Onyett.
Nursery
These children are entitled to part time education from the term after they are 3 years old. Currently they are entitled to 15 hours of ‘free’ education, but additional sessions can be purchased at a cost of £13.50 per session.
Children can also stay for lunch club where they can enjoy a school meal for £2.55 or bring a packed lunch. The Lunch Club Supervision charge is £4.50 per day.
Reception
This stage caters for 4 year old children who commence full time education in the September of the academic year they turn 5. In both stages children flourish in a learning environment that caters for their specific needs. They learn through a play based curriculum and have access to large and well equipped outside areas.
Children are happy and relaxed and make excellent progress both socially and academically.
