Volunteering in School

We welcome volunteer helpers at school and we recognise not only the additional support they bring, but also the wealth of experience from their own fields of work.

If you might like to offer some time to the children we would really like to hear from you.  Please contact Mrs Forde j.forde@ebor.academy

Safeguarding:

We have a duty to ensure that we safeguard both our children from any potential harm and also a duty of safeguard our employees and volunteers.  For these reasons we must ask any volunteers to carry out the following prior to coming to school:

Provide 2 character references.

Undertake a DBS check.

Meet with the Headteacher to undertake an induction.

Undertake ‘Basic Child Protection Training’.

Read Part 1 of Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Whilst the information above can seem a little overwhelming it is essential to ensure the safety of the staff and children at Osbaldwick Primary Academy.
