Y3/4 Rocks, Relics & Roars Topic

This half term the Year 3/4’s topic has been ‘Rocks, Relics and Roars’. The children have been learning about the Stone Age. As part of our literacy we read the text ‘The Stone Age Boy’. The children have spent time through the ‘talk for writing’ process to learn the story and then write it in their own words. We then rewrote the story changing the scenario and the problem, from a child being lost in the Stone Age, to a Stone Age child being lost in the modern age. We invited parents to come in to school to read the stories with their child/children which they had written
