Dear Parents/ Carers,

Wow another year has flown by and what a year it has been. I am proud to have an amazing staff that have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of pupils, staff and parents is at the heart of everything we do. We have all been frustrated by the circuit breaks in learning with children being sent home nevertheless everyone has pulled together and worked as a team. Thank to parents for all your support and lovely end of term messages. They really are heart warning. We wish you and your families a safe and restful break. We say farewell to our amazing Year 6s and to some families who we will no longer see on our playground. Good luck and come and see us at our annual summer festival – we would love to hear from you.

Staff Leavers

We said a final goodbye to our staff leavers in our only Assembly this year.  We wish them well for the future.

PE Kit in September

We will be continuing to have children come into school in their PE kit on specified PE days and Teachers will send a message in September letting parents know which days these will be via seesaw.

School Association Summer Fundraiser

Please see attached link for the ‘Oso Emerald Trail’ which our School Association have worked really hard to put together as a fund raising activity for the Summer holidays.

This looks so much fun and we would encourage as many people as possible to take part.

Litter Picking

Jessica spent the weeknd helping for the second time restore the beck that runs through Hull Road park.  Because the digging up of a course for the water to meander through the park is rather exhausting (lots of heavy wet clay and silt, plus the continuous hazard of getting stuck in the mud), Jessica has mainly been helping with removing litter that has become embedded in the clay over the years – strange finds have included a sock, a wellington boot and a vinyl record.  She went off further upstream on Sunday for a bit and came into a bit of a difficulty as her boot became fully submerged so her Dad had to go back with her to find it and dig it up.  Hopefully when the project is eventually finished, and a load of wildlife has moved back in, she’ll be able to look at it with pride knowing that she had helped restore it…and she might remember what a meander is by then too!   A big well done Jessica.
