Christmas Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been a very busy term and you will have seen through our seesaw app the amazing learning that happens in all our classrooms from Nursery to Year 6 on a daily basis. Christmas is a lovely time in schools and it has been a pleasure welcoming parents through our doors for nativities and concerts.

The choir perform at The Barbican

Our choir were amazing when they performed in front of an audience of 1300 people at York’s Annual Community Carol Concert at The Barbican. We were one of two schools chosen to perform, along with Stamford Bridge Community Choir and York Railway Institute Band. It felt very festive and even Father Christmas made a guest appearance. Thank you to our wonderful teaching staff who volunteered their time and to all our talented pupils whose behaviour was complemented.

‘During the show, children from both St Oswald’s CE Primary School and Osbaldwick Primary Academy entertained with their “enthusiasm and wonderful” vocal skills on stage.’ York Press
