City of York Council – Tinfoil Competition – Well Done Esme !!

Tinfoil Competition:

Over the first half term, the City of York Council ran an exciting competition to promote the fact that you can now recycle tin foil at the kerbside. Over 100 pupils entered from all around York, with many from our own school taking part also. We waited with bated breath for the results and finally we got the news: one of our pupils had won!

Esme Dumont in 3/4GF was our lucky winner with an incredible entry (which can be seen below). Esme was thrilled to have won and earned herself a £50 voucher that she was keen to spend on books. Due to her stellar efforts, Esme also won the school £500 to be spent on sustainable resources. Councillor We are thrilled with the results and it

Esme was presented with their award by Councillor Paula Widdowson, Executive Member for Climate Change, and Tom Giddings, executive director at Alupro (all pictured together).
