Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the end of a busy and brilliant Spring term, I wanted to take a moment to write to you all, reflect on our recent achievements, and wish you a very happy and restful Easter break.
A Fantastic Team Effort: World Book Day
A standout highlight of this half-term was undoubtedly our World Book Day celebration. I want to say a massive thank you to our entire school community—staff, parents, and of course, the children—for what was a truly fantastic team effort. Thank you to Miss Gulc for co-ordinating it.
The sheer creativity of the costumes and homemade props was incredible to see. But more importantly, the atmosphere across the school was buzzing with a genuine love for reading. You put in a phenomenal effort at home to get everyone ready, it was a day that truly showcased the wonderful spirit of our school. Thank you for your continued support in making these magical memories for the children.
Trips
School Council Meets Luke Charters MP
This week, our School Council welcomed Luke Charters MP, putting active citizenship into practice. The children represented their peers exceptionally well, asking superb questions about the local environment, road safety, and life in the House of Commons. Mr. Charters praised their thoughtful passion for the community. Well done to our fantastic ambassadors!
Update on Our RSHE Curriculum
As you may be aware, the Department for Education (DfE) recently updated the statutory guidance for Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) across all schools. We are required to fully implement these updates by September 2026, and our staff have already begun the careful work of reviewing our current lessons to ensure we meet these new standards. Below is a guide to the new curriculum.
