2017-18 Year 4/5s win the York Schools Enterprise award at The Merchant Adventurers Hall

Enterprise is about trying new things, working with others, using initiative and having ambition. It develops skills such as teamwork, organising and planning, problem solving and financial literacy.

At Osbaldwick School we are committed to promoting entrepreneurial skills throughout school. We feel that Enterprise Education equips our children with important life skills which will enable them to become effective citizens, employees, employers, entrepreneurs and leaders of the future.

In recent years, Osbaldwick School has received a national award from RBS for its work related to financial understanding and capability. Additionally, children have showcased their successful stationery shop business at NYBEP events at York Racecourse. They regularly raise money for charities and engage in Enterprise activities, both in and outside the classroom.

Throughout KS1 and KS2, children are taught important Enterprise skills through everyday curriculum activities and one off events, developing links with local Enterprise education providers wherever possible.
